Under the Shroud of doubt lies the Truth of God’s Creation
It is always a simple gesture to overlook the meaning of creation especially since it is what God intended to accomplish at some point in eternity. Again, we must be aware that an eternal element like creating humanity is not something that one moment in time God said perhaps we shall create an entity and call it human. We must constantly remember that in eternity there is no such attribute as past events or a future recognized by the finite mind. A premise such as living in a semblance of measuring past, present, and future does not exist beyond the grave; only a present existence is real and that is what we’ll all discover after human death. Even saying that “at some point in eternity” God intended to accomplish” leaves an uncertain thought. When God created the heavens and the earth as well as this fact of human beings it IS in his presence and present entity.
Let us understand that I am not intimating that humans are also an eternal entity since man as well as angels were created by God and did not appear with no beginning. Only God is omnipresent, that is forever, and how he accomplished creation is not for us to understand.
Trying to discern this mystery is no more or less than all the other mysteries pertaining to the Holy Trinity. However, we might want to ascertain the idea that if we as a created element coming out of eternity from a created thought of God, where did we begin an existence of a past; from nothing we became something and have all of God’s eternal love from the moment we took our first breath?
God created everything for man, but man in turn was created to serve and love God and to offer all creation back to him. (CCC 358). What is it that is about to be created, that enjoys such honor? It is man - that great and wonderful living creature, more precious in the eyes of God than all other creatures! For him the heavens and the earth, the sea and all the rest of creation exist. God attached so much importance to his salvation that he did not spare his own Son for the sake of man. Nor does he ever cease to work, trying every possible means, until he has raised man up to himself and made him sit at his right hand. (St John Chrysotom).
God calls man first. Man may forget his Creator or hide far from his face; he may run after idols or accuse the deity of having abandoned him; yet the living and true God tirelessly calls each person to that mysterious encounter known as prayer. In prayer, the faithful God’s initiative of love always comes first; our own first step is always a response. As God gradually reveals himself and reveals man to himself, prayer appears as a reciprocal call, a covenant drama. Through words and actions, this drama engages the heart. It unfolds throughout the whole history of salvation. (CCC 2567).
The probability of humanity as well as all of the universe is God’s creation and as mentioned above where God created everything for man. (CCC 358). Perhaps the most noble entity we live under is that everything that God has given us is so far above our intellect that once we can grasp the depth of creation we shall all be with God in eternity and the why and wherefore of creation will have no need of explanation. The Glory of God and Heaven will be that perfection!
