The Gordian Knot, Gold & Grace
In the beginning, he knew all and was given a choice.
He could have said no, yet he raised not his voice.
Not Baptism-bound, he loved us since birth.
He values our soul, life and God-given worth.
He inspires and leads us to his heavenly home;
A forever friend, gift, he's ours & ours alone.
He protects us and guards us with Godly defenses.
He inspires, guides thinking and channels our senses.
He humors and guides us with whimsical schemes,
Using guardrails, a doubt, silly patterns or dreams.
He offsets temptations that break laws and rules,
Preserving free-will with his secretive tools
He plants pious thoughts, hinting more sacred choices,
Contrary to those having dark, evil voices
Using false reason, rationalization and sensate' delight
the dark side wants damnation for souls they can smite
Appearing at death, they fly us to judgement
He lists all our virtues, the accuser--c'mudgeonment
God-willing, we'll join in their pureness and youth.
Forever enlightened in deepening Truth.
