Three Monkeys
If you have never heard of this wonderful beloved priest, you're going to now. God puts special people in our lives and he is one of them. Oh! How I wish I could have met him in person. I came across his sermons a while back and fell in love with his direct and powerful way he spoke. He would tell you the truth. No matter how hard it would be to hear. His life tragically ended in a car crash on August 2nd, 2023, at the age of 62. He was a pastor of Saint Helena Catholic Church in Louisiana. He entered the priesthood later in his life after a significant spiritual experience, that, being a visit to Medjugori. He told it like it is. No frills or flowers. Just the truth. Just the plain truth about such topics on Faith, Purgatory, humility, forgiveness, and living out our Christian values.
Every time I listened to one of his sermons, I was deeply touched by his strong yet beautiful words and tone he used in describing how important life is in our surrender to God. Bringing himself down to our level and making sure everyone that listened was important and that God's Mercy is ready and waiting for those who are truly wanting to be children of God. His sermons were powerful. Just the way I like them. He spoke the truth. No sugar coating. No frills. One could actually feel the power of God through his voice at the same time the tenderness of one who was a true Apostle of Jesus Christ in his quest to help save souls. A treasure of a human being that I will never ever forget and will sorely miss.
Please, look up his podcasts and listen to this Disciple of Jesus. You will find it refreshing and eye-opening as he talks on topics of forgiveness and Purgatory and in general of the mercy and love that God has for all of us.
God keeps sending us disciples. We have but to ask that our eyes and ears listen to the saving words they say.
Eternal rest, Father Mark Beard. May eternal light shine upon you and thank you for being a good and faithful servant.
