The Better Path

Do I feed and cloth all I know

And what of those I do not

Grace abounds if compassion I do show

Do I feed the drug addict on the street

Or do I simply ignore

The Lord said I need them to make me complete

Do I help the boozer in the gutter

Or cross to the other side

Good Samaritans simply just care

Do I know the difference between good and evil

That Jesus told us to love everyone

Time then ignore the devil

Do I know we will always have the stepped on and downtrodden

Jesus said that to have Him Too

These wonderful people must never ever be forgotten

Do you know the Saints Francis of Assisi and Vincent de Paul

Two of many who chose the better path

They chose to help all that fall
