Communion and Dollars

Everyone has opinions. A lot of people think their opinion is the only one that matters. Sometimes it takes a while to learn that the only opinion that matters is God's.
My dear friend, someone I admired, trusted and loved said something to me that no one, no matter who they are deserves to hear. It changed my opinion of myself for a while. I felt like a label. And most of all, I felt the way she sees me, different, and not good enough. That was until I thought about how God sees us. He sees us as equal, as being special and having value. We're not trash, we're not different, we're good. He does not devalue anyone or try to bring anyone down. He loves. He loves no matter what we do. And it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks of us. In God's eyes, we are perfect, we are royalty, we are wonderful.
Yes, I had to learn the hard way. Yes what I was told is not something I would wish on anyone. But I know in my heart and soul that I belong to God, and that in His eyes, I'm not different and neither is anyone else. The only opinion that matters is His, and I'm fine with that.
