How the spirit differs from our Soul
What the Catholic Church reveals about the End Times through the prophesies of the Saints, through visions and messages
Eileen Renders
The End Times warnings and prophecies are derived from many reliable resources, such as biblical teachings from our Popes and political leaders. There are also writings from some of the Saints through visions or messages from God. These messages provide warnings, and understanding that can allow us to trust and peace within our hearts.
The following are informational sources, including where the sources have originated.
Saint Pius X warned how the Church will endure trials that are similar to the passion of Christ, yet assures us God will ultimately prevail.
St. Bridget of Sweden prophesied that before the Antichrist’s arrival, many pagans would convert to Christianity. There are other Saints that the Catholic Church recognizes regarding revelations, warnings, signs, and instructions through visions and messages.
Saint Malachy received a prophecy about the succession of future popes, including the destruction of “the city of seven hills.”
Saint Padre Pio communicated with Jesus, revealing signs about the end of the world, including 3 days of darkness.” Jesus gave Padre Pio 12 Signs of the End of the World.
Saint Faustina Kowalska received visions from Jesus and Mary, particularly concerning the Devotion to His Sacred Heart and the Fount of Mercy.
Pope Francis has invoked biblical passages, such as Mark 13, to highlight the signs of the times, including wars and natural disasters, suggesting that we may be living in the end times. He warns that the world is experiencing a “piecemeal” World War 111, reflecting the chaos and conflict described in scripture.
Catholic prophecies about the end times are rooted in both the Old and New Testaments. Key prophetic books include:
Isaiah. Isaiah foretells a day of destruction and turmoil, where celestial bodies will lose their light (Isaiah 13:9-10)
Ezekiel. Discusses the battle of Gog and Magog, a significant conflict in the end times.
Daniel. Describes a time of great distress and the eventual deliverance of God’s people (Daniel 12.1)
We can believe that God appeared to, or provided messages regarding the End Times to these Saints so that they could in turn share all these messages with all His creation to both warn us, and to help us to understand the importance of our prayers, attending the sacraments and living our lives by His example so that we might live with hope that we will one day ascend into heaven, body and soul, for all eternity.
