Today will we hear the Call from Christ?
It’s all about Mercy that we must seek for the immature
There may be an instant event that has left one person regretting the dumb mistake they made and now behind the incarceration facility that holds them as a prisoner their only thought should be finding that virtuous quality from God; freedom from the final judgment of divine justice.
No one is able to by-pass the punishment due for breaking the law; such as stealing, or murder whether it is personal or part of an insurrection against legitimate governments. Lately, we just saw the assanation of a young man, Charlie Kirk, whose only sin was to speak for the rights of genuine philosophy that stands for freedom against tyranny. Hopefully the assassin will be found and brought to justice. This shooter will join the many who have taken the lives of so many upstanding people; John Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr, and most recently Charlie Kirk. However, this inappropriate and bullish method of disagreeing with someone's political views or religious association needs more than justice; they must be taught that God alone has the Spiritual Right to determine the right to terminate another human being no matter what these assassins feel is right or wrong.
The sad element is that too many people are taking the law into their own hands and becoming copy-cat killers, some starting at the age of 12 years. Somehow the rest of society cannot believe what young children who may not even be able to wipe their own noses are playing cowboys and indians in 2025. The worst crisis is these children, becoming killers for no other reason than following the role of older children and laughing as they hurt or muder helpless people. The question may be, “what have we, the mature generation, done to allow these helpless kids to run amuck with guns and without any understanding about God and Righteousness?”
This brings the term Mercy, God’s Genuine Promise for all sinners if they repent, to a head as we reminisce heroes such as, St. Paul on the way to Damascus, David who committed adultery and murdered Bathsheba’s husband to cover the sexual sin up, and we could place many people whom God showed mercy once they repented and became models of righteousness for the rest of us to admire and follow. The certain problem to finding mercy is, will these children, murderers and insurrectionists or anarchists be open to righteous understanding or continue their wayward decline to a loss of their souls?
The works of mercy are charitable actions by which we come to the aid of our neighbor in his spiritual and bodily necessities. Instructing, advising, consoling, comforting are spiritual works of mercy, as are forgiving and bearing wrongs patiently. The corporal works of mercy consist especially in feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and imprisoned, and burying the dead. Among all these, giving alms to the poor is one of the chief witnesses of fraternal charity: it is also a work of justice pleasing to God. (CCC 2447).
What may the prime missing element that behooves the rest of us is the fact that too many of these children have been denied the opportunity to receive any or all of these attributes from the preceding paragraph and places the rest of society in a guilty position of creating a sign of concern for too many young children who may not even have the parental guidance of compassion and love that the rest of us have as blessings. We must take a look at the absence of moral intuition that many if not all of these murderous kids never had the chance to find love, companionship, and moral direction that has clouded or ruined the opportunity to find Christ instead of a Satanic guide that is after their immortal souls.
As we all might discern the price wayward children and young adults will face for their horrible actions we also must look inward and find if any of us have in some way contributed to the scenarios that are before us and out of our hands currently. Let us pray that we aren’t; but if so pray for spiritual guidance to help save at least one future Al Capone or John Dillinger.
