Let Go, And Let God
I believe I can say, we all have wondered why we see little children die of starvation. Die in fires, floods, and explosions? We ask ourselves, “If God is love and mercy, why does He allow this to occur?” This became a subject matter I personally wanted to understand. Matthew 10:29 states: “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them falls to the ground apart from the will of your Father.” God is telling us that He knows all, and possibly has a reason unknown to us.
Jesus explained His plan for our lives and instructed us on how to live by His plan.
Mark Chapter 10-12 Marriage and Divorce, He set out from there and went into the district of Judea and across the Jordan. Again, crowds gathered around Him and, as was His custom, He again taught them. “The Pharisees approached and asked, “Is it lawful for a husband to divorce his wife?” They were testing Him.”
Jesus said to them in reply, “What did Moses command you?” They replied, “Moses permitted him to write a bill of divorce and dismiss her.” But Jesus told them, “Because of the hardness of your hearts, he wrote you this commandment. But from the beginning of creation, “God made them male and female.” “For this reason, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife. And the two shall become one flesh.” “Therefore, what God has joined together, no human being must separate.” In the house, the disciples again questioned him about this. Jesus said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her; and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”
Jesus was always teaching.
Blessing the Children Mark 13-16 And people were bringing children to Him that he might touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he became indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to Me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it.” Then Jesus embraced the children and blessed them, placing His hands on them.
In trusting God’s will, we might know that God foresaw a future that was full of disappointment, pain, and suffering, and chose to take them to heaven. It is the family who then suffers the loss as the children are safe in the protective arms of Christ.
The Rich Man Mark:17-27 As He was setting out on a journey, a man ran up, knelt before him, and asked Him, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus answered him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but God alone. You know the commandments: “You shall not kill, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness, you shall not defraud; honor your father and your mother.” He replied and said to him, “Teacher, all of these I have observed from my youth.”
Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said to him, “You are lacking in one thing. Go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have a treasure in heaven; then come follow me.”
At that statement, his face fell, and he went away sad, for he had many possessions. Jesus looked around and said to the disciples, “How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!” In reply, “
The disciples were amazed at His words. So Jesus again said to them in reply, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!” It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for one who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
They were exceedingly astonished and said among themselves, “Then who can be saved?”
Jesus looked at them and said, “For human beings it is impossible, but not for God. All things are possible for God.”
Again, Jesus teaches us that life was not meant to be a Rose Garden. We, too, suffer and must carry our Cross as did Jesus for the sake of saving our souls.
Because of God’s great love and mercy, some children may receive an apparition, a miraculous healing, which allows them to have a deeper relationship with Christ, and with this new spiritual strength and courage, they can become disciples of Christ, thereby inspiring others to follow Him.
In having lost one of my beautiful twin daughters at the age of 21 years, I did not talk to God for over a year. How could He give me identical twin daughters to love and to raise, and then 21 years later, take one from me? I told Him he was cruel and I dared Him to take me too. I felt I had no one to understand and to talk to. Then, I realized one who did understand and would help, Our Blessed Mother Mary. I spent time in prayer with her. Then one night before going to sleep, I found myself talking once more to God. And I said to Him, “When did I forgive You?” That very thought, those words were so ridiculous, I almost laughed out loud. I told God I was truly sorry and finally realized that she, my daughter Mary, was never really mine. Our gift was a responsibility, but our children and we also belong to God.
Our blessed Mother has one desire when we go to her to be consoled. That is, to bring us back to Christ.
