You Matter. No Asterisk
If I forget everything, let me not forget this—
Your voice still burns in ten lines of fire.
“You are the light of the world,” You said.
So when shadows choke me,
I remind myself—darkness is not my address.
“Come to Me, all you who are weary.”
Lord, I’m crawling in pieces.
Carry me, until I can stand again.
“Peace I leave with you.”
But my chest is a battlefield.
So I’ll kneel until Your peace becomes oxygen.
“Forgive seventy times seven.”
But my wounds still bleed.
Teach me forgiveness until it stops tasting like poison.
“I am the Bread of Life.”
Yet I starve when I feed on the world.
Nourish me till my hunger is holy.
“I am the Resurrection and the Life.”
So even in graves of despair,
Hope dares to breathe through cracked bones.
“Love one another as I have loved you.”
Lord, that measure is impossible.
But let me try till my dying breath.
“Do not be afraid.”
And yet, fear builds walls in my mind.
Break them down with Your nail-pierced hands.
“I am with you always.”
So even when silence mocks me,
I will not call myself abandoned.
Ten lines of fire.
Ten anchors for storms.
Ten whispers that make me rise again.
Your words are not memory.
They are my survival.
