Sacrificing

Romans 5:3-5 says, “More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. “
Those verses are important. God wants us to have hope even in the midst of storms, even when going through suffering. He does not want us to give up, think that what we are going through is too hard, or that we are not able to get through things. He wants to grow, to become stronger, to find Him in hard times, to go to Him and ask for His love. Many people just want to give up, to take the easy way out of hard times, to not go to God, but that is not the answer. The answer is hope. The answer is God. The answer is growth.
It is through hard times, through storms, through suffering that we grow. We learn. We find our way sometimes back to God, because we get so desperate that He is who we end up turning to. And it is when we turn to Him that our prayers are answered, we are filled with good things, we come out of the storm stronger, and full of God’s love. We learn things about ourselves and how capable we really are.
Anyone can go through something and really wonder if there is ever an end to the pain, to the suffering, to the sadness, and there is, there can be. We just need to turn to the right things, to God, to prayer, to people who really love us, and not go to the wrong things like drinking, drugs, and forgetting about God.
Always have hope, always keep your eyes on Him, and be filled with God’s love.
