Don’t Just Wear the Cross – Bear It
She Rose. Now It’s Your Turn.
On the same day India rose to freedom, Mary was lifted into Heaven. August 15th reminds us: liberation is both earthly and eternal. The Assumption of Mary is not just a feast—it’s a call to rise in freedom.
Mary didn’t rise to escape earth—she rose because she embraced heaven while walking on earth.
The Assumption isn’t just about Mary being taken up. It’s about what she carried up with her: a life of “yes,” a heart of surrender, and a spirit that refused to bow to fear. She was not a queen because she wore a crown—but because she bore pain with grace, silence with strength, and love with fire. Mary’s Assumption wasn’t just a miracle—it was a declaration of freedom. Freedom from fear, from shame, from the world’s definitions. Her “yes” was her revolution—and it still echoes today.
In today’s world, where reels outshine reality and filters cover pain, we need real role models. Not influencers, but intercessors. Not perfect lives, but pure hearts. Mary rose without shouting, without impressing, without pretending. She rose because she stayed grounded in what mattered most: God.
And that’s your call too.
You may not have angels visiting you.
You may not have a halo over your head.
But if you’re waking up, if you’re breathing—Heaven is still betting on you.
You are not too broken to rise.
You are not too ordinary to shine.
You are not too late to start again.
Real freedom isn’t doing whatever you want—it’s becoming who you were meant to be. And that’s the invitation of the Assumption: to rise not for applause, but for purpose.
It tells us that God does not forget faithfulness. That hidden sacrifices echo in eternity. That one woman’s “yes” can ripple across centuries. And guess what? Your “yes” still counts.
We live in a world obsessed with going viral. But Mary teaches us the power of going vertical - rising in grace, rising in silence, rising with God.
She didn’t hustle for heaven. She humbled herself into it.
And so can you.
So rise.
From your guilt.
From your past.
From your comfort zone.
From whatever is keeping you small.
Your story isn’t over because of the fall. It’s just beginning because of the call.
The Assumption of Mary is Heaven’s way of reminding us: the crown comes after the cross.
So if life feels heavy right now, don’t quit. Heaven has not forgotten your yes.
God is still lifting the lowly.
Still exalting the humble.
Still calling the hidden to glory.
Mary rose.
Now it’s your turn.
Because when faith touches surrender, even earth can’t hold you down.
And finally…
The Assumption isn’t about escaping earth.
It’s about elevating it—one soul, one surrender, one yes at a time.
So the question isn’t did Mary rise?
The real question is: Will you?
Because life isn’t about being noticed.
It’s about being assumed—into something greater.
Heaven didn’t take Mary just because she was perfect,
but she was ready too. Are you ready too?
Rise with her. Heaven’s waiting.
