Ever wonder WHY? Why do I still do what I do and feel the way I do? Why do I still CAVE IN to those addicting habits that make me hate myself for being so weak? Weak, and now unhealthy, walking a slow walk to Calvary and death.
Asking this morning again, 'why do I still do what I do?' Answers came, for we are told when we seek, we will find, and when we ask, answers will be given. Knock and God will open the door and His Light and Healing will come in.
I was led to 'go back' and see the connections of how the past truamas were keeping me living on that path of addictions.
The past traumas, hurts, rejections, abuse--all that I experienced as a child, still are within, and as long as they are, these emotions will lead to seeking comfort, and what gives me comfort.
Therefore, it is time for me, and to give voice too, or write down all that came my way and left us wondering, wandering in the WHY past paths. Do this, if I want to be WELL, healed of my addictions.
Some of the things we experienced, we will even blame ourselves! You know, if only I had been a better person, not acted the way I did, etc --then people would not have said, done, or treated me the way they did. This is the reason why even now, we may continue to hate ourselves. "It's all l my fault!"
Controlled by our addictions fed by the past, we now will find struggles with emotions and spiritual battles that depress us. Feeling deeply sometimes---"why bother to try again, start again, and strive to obey what God is saying do. RISE, get off that past mat, walk in a new life and be well."
So let the Word of God lead you to Path of New Life. Go back and FORGIVE all, including yourself. If we realize that all people, controlled by their own past, did not know what they were doing when their actions deeply hurt you.
Give all that past to your God! You are able to this, when you see your life NOW, as a living sacrifice. For when we know the TRUTH --we are given wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and discernment, gifts from the Holy Spirit that come when He comes into our total life. Going behind locked doors, Jesus comes in with His Peace and the Holy Spirit, setting us free from the WHYS of all our life and free from the 'addictions' and behaviors we still hate and find in our present path.
Let us pray, "Come Holy Spirit and fill our hearts, our mind and our soul and give us all your gifts and power too---so we may love as Jesus loved and faithfully follow His Path to the Way the Truth and the His Light that lead to NEW LIFE FOREVER!"
Please and thank you God for being ever faithful and present in our lives and leading us on right paths every day.

But, most importantly, because of my parents’ spiritual renewal after attending Cursillo Weekends, I too went on a retreat at our beloved Subiaco Abbey in Arkansas and there, at age 20, gave my life totally, surrendering all to my Lord and best Friend. This was my “Pentecostal” event that left me, like all the early Christians, on fire with God’s love and forever changed.
My husband Robert and I have been married for 54 this year in a marriage arranged by God. We have 8 children, two in heaven, 24 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. The story of our life together can be found in a book titled “My Journey, My Cross-As the Journals End,” published by Westbow Press . Our life together has been one awesome up and down roller coaster ride which enriched my heart with so many of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I have found that the only way, Wisdom, Understanding, Words of Knowledge, Discernment, and Healing can be received is first by experiencing in your life the hurts of others. (and you yourself a sword will pierce)* so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.” Luke 2 v 35.
God has blessed me also many other talents and skills--but sometimes, blessings/gifts can and have caused problems or conflict in my life, as I am human and all too quickly that part of me shows up. Thank You God that You also show up!
