Is it time to relax on praying for an end to wars and evil content in life?
As we sin so Jesus forgives us even into eternity
The dichotomy that exists with too many people is a misunderstanding of just what the Passion of Christ was all about. Too many people see the tragic execution of the Son of God as just another nail in the body of a prophet and shake their heads without realizing what our Eternal God just fulfilled in his promise of the redemption for all humanity.
Can anyone imagine what happens each time we commit a sin is the blow of each swing of the hammer driving spikes through the hands and feet of Jesus? Since eternity has no time or space associated within itself, so the Crucifixion occurs in the present period of life while the death of Jesus is continuing into eternity. How can we believe that this execution did not just occur on a particular Good Friday according to our manner of keeping records? The question will present to us that the human beings not yet born are already being forgiven perhaps thousands of years into their future. It is difficult for the finite mind to ascertain this possibility, but in eternity it's already occurred.
We want to believe that the death of Jesus on that final day of his suffering was a conclusion of all evil. However, we must also understand that this life holds our future in a temporary position that rolls over into an eternal life. What we do here and now will have an impact on our eternal life. What we do or say now has already occurred before God in eternity. Therefore, even though Jesus died and rose in a three day occurrence on earth, it is forever present in eternity. In human terms and using what we can see is real; these last until we are no more. Right on the other side of this present dimension lies an eternal dimension that always IS as God always IS.
This is not a philosophical thought that may or may not be fictional, it is a reality that we can only adhere to once our soul reaches beyond the grave and what is tangible while we still breathe. Jesus died once for sin, yet his passion lasts into eternity since God’s love is eternal as well. Therefore, even though death is not eternal, the life giving compassion God gives us never ceases to exist and remains eternal as well.
Look beyond the premise of death and see the very presence of a life eternal that God first gave to Adam and Eve. Herein we must acknowledge that if God is eternal the life he breathed into the nostrils of Adam is also eternal. As soon as God, who is forever, extends his life to his human creatures, they become eternal as well. What each one of us will receive once we pass from this human body is the eternal life we were created for. As an eternal resident there will be no more past or future as in human life, but just like God in an existence of everlasting life.
Sins forgiven will not only be removed but shall not be remembered in eternity. Once forgiven they are no more.
One last requirement to adhere with; those who are ungodly, immoral, or non-believers in God’s presence will never enter into eternity with God, but into the presence of Hell.
