Peace Be With You

Dressing for everyday, no problem. Dressing for Mass, a different story. That has surely changed. When I was younger, it was all about dresses and shirts with ties. Now you never know what you might see. I often wonder what some were even thinking before they showed up at Mass. People show up in the shortest shorts possible, or clothes that don't even match. Some care, some don't.
But I think if Christ was really there in person, the way people dress at Mass would be so different. They would actually think. They wouldn't be wearing things they are ashamed of. They wouldn't be wearing those short shorts or things that resemble pajamas. They would probably wear their Sunday best, because why would anyone want to wear something they are ashamed about in front of Christ?
Perhaps there is a lesson here. Perhaps we need to think and put in some more effort before we dress for Mass. Modesty is important. Dressing appropriately is important. Wearing things that Christ would not be ashamed of is important. I just hope I'm not the only one who feels that way.
