Jesus asks, “Do I ask for more than you can give?”

Do you ever feel and wish for a happier world? A world where people of all races and religions love and respect one another is such a beautiful thought. Indeed, this is not the world that God had planned for His people. It all began to turn bad in heaven when Lucifer defied God, with a huge pride, he wanted to compete with Christ in attempting to sway His creation of people to choose him over God.

Lucifer had been given many powers in heaven, but God had faith in His people. God gave us free will to choose right from wrong because He wanted us to choose Him, our Father, our creator, with love and gratitude. 

Lucifer bargained with God and said, “Give me the opportunity, and your people will choose me over you with their free will.” God threw Lucifer out of heaven and down to earth, and He said to Lucifer (now known as Satan) “ I will give you 1,000 years to work your evil and see if My people choose you.” God continued, “When that time has passed, we will war, and you, Satan, and any evildoers who choose you will be thrown into hell with you forever.”

This is sad, and a horrible thought. Many of us make bad choices without time to repent could spend eternity in hell with Satan and all his demons!

What is it God wants from us to be saved, and to be taken up to heaven to spend eternity with Him? I think you will agree that the answer is easy: we must choose Him, our God, our creator. We must follow Him, and we can choose Him by choosing right from wrong as we use our God given free will. Follow the 10 Commandments He laid down for us, frequent the sacraments, and pray that we may deepen our relationship with Him, and deepen our understanding of Him, and our love for Him.
