Holy water, come to the well...

     Holy water is placed at the front and all entrances of a Church. Then why not place it at the entrances of our homes? They are little Churches also. The weapon of Holy water is quite powerful. Another Sacramental handed to us from Roots in both Old and New testament teachings of Jesus. It is believed to be used in Baptisms and other blessings and rituals. It is used for Purification. It's various uses in blessing individuals, objects and places for protection and healing. Every Catholic home should have some and keep it plentiful at all times. It is a reminder of our Baptism, a symbol of cleansing and a tool for Spiritual protection and connection with God. 

     The Blessing of any home or religious article, any child or baby or adult baptism is a purification, a renewal of trust, that God Himself is allowed and welcomed to enter in. This is no joke. No ritual that should be ignored or thought of other than a great gift given to us in times of Spiritual Warfare or the cleansing of our souls and possessions. 

     Bless your homes. Your children. Yourselves. Along with the Sign of the Cross. It is not magic, but the Holy blessing of our God who longs to protect us from the evils of the devil and his minions. The devil cannot stand Holy water. He curses it and flees immediately. We live in a world with many temptations, provided explicitly by the evil one. But do not fear. Our God has placed these Sacramentals at our fingertips. The Holy Rosary, the Scapular, Crucifixes and religious medals and Holy water. All weapons of warfare as strong and lasting as any gun or sword, but only better and stronger. Because they are blessed by God Himself. 

     Protect yourselves, your children, your homes, your souls. Sprinkle Holy water often if not daily, day and night. You will see a change in demeanor of self and your family and a sense of Peace. Something, I believe we all seek.
