The temperature is rising
I don't live anywhere near a mountain but if I look up to the heavens, I can see them as clear as day. I close my eyes and those majestic structures appear before me in all their Glory. In all their greatness. I love the mountains.
My eyes have beheld them for real, whenever I have visited Colorado. From afar, they seem so small, but climbing on the winding road that leads to the top, the strength of them seems overwhelming and almost fearful. The unknown lies within their crooks and crannies. Wildlife walk among the snow caps as normal as we do on our streets below. A mysterious calm sets a tone of Spirituality that only the wildlife can hear and truly understand. When looking from afar, I seem to feel like I tower above them, but when I get close, I feel quite small and inadequate. Realizing once again the greatness and Majesty of God.
I thank God for allowing me to recapture the mountains in my mind, as I can recall my smallness and His greatness. Praising Him with my prayers of Thanksgiving. Enduring through time the splendor of His creation and His whisper of Peace to all who love Him. The coolness of the air and the fresh breath of life that He blows into each and every one of us, as we behold Him who is our God.
