It's hot! Since I'm American and I don't use Celsius unless I have to, y'all should know what I mean when I say “triple digit weather”.
Anyway, so, the positive thing about that, is it won't be forever. Here in South Carolina, it's either hot or raining or both this time of year.
Oh wait, that isn't positive. But this is (make sure you read the verses before it)!
“Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light shine on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes” (Revelation 7:15-17).
As someone that grew up poor, largely in a place that has brutal winters (Iowa isn't that bad, umm, dude, we bordered a state that borders Canada), and as someone who has experienced both extreme heat and extreme cold (seriously, when I lived in Illinois, school can be cancelled because pipes were bursting because of how cold it is, oh, Quad Cities).
Anyway, this wasn't supposed to be an article bashing liberation theology, but, you know, heaven is heaven for a reason.
With all of that said, depending on the weather coming up, there may be a part II to this. And it's not as optimistic. Stay tuned.
