This is My confession
Just like you have heard before, put yourself in that scene of the Visitation between Mary, our Mother and Her cousin Elizabeth. Seeing a young Mary elated with joy, at the news She was to have the Son of God. Can you even imagine? Did she have morning sickness? How old was She really? Did She tell Her mother and father immediately? After all, she was not married. Or was She? She most certainly became the Bride of God, so yes I believe She was. Everything in God's plans are always perfect. Mysteries of the unexplained depend on sheer Faith and should never be doubted when it comes to the Mystery of God. These mysteries depend on trust and surrender that God's does what He says He's going to do. Mary proves that to us. That's what She was born for. The new Eve. Our Mother. Accepting this role is the champion example of trust and surrender one could ever give to God. Something, in this world, that is hard to do. Only in the Eternal World , will trust and surrender be before our eyes. Our hearts will swell with Peace as we behold our Mother Mary, and Her Son, our Father, Jesus Christ. Then, to behold Him who sits on the throne, our God.
Visiting someone after news that you are pregnant is not exactly what I would have chosen to do. I was so sick with morning sickness I couldn't think of anything but having a quick, leave room exit. Then, to think of the only way to get to my cousins house was by way of donkey over rough terrain, while feeling sick, is not something, that my mind would accept. What a woman our Mother Mary is! My hero! My Mother! Already then, doing something that would benefit me. I love her!
Finally arriving at Her cousin's house to see this very old woman come greet Her looking very much with child. The Joy Elizabeth must have felt with that sweet jolt inside. The feeling her and that precious boy, John felt, inside her womb, receiving the Holy Spirit. I remember those memories of movement within my womb. I felt so connected to that precious being inside of me. I believe, every woman, that feels that movement of her baby stirring inside, feels the Holy Spirit. The Giver of Life. That's why all life is Sacred. The Holy Spirit has been sent specifically to give life. To teach us, and to let us feel the love between God and Son is so great that it creates movement of life.
Grabbing each other, Mary and Elizabeth embrace, so the two boys actually get to embrace also! Oh! The Wonder of God! The Visitation is a sweet recalling of another moment when it all began. Honoring our beloved Blessed Mother as the Mother of God and of her showing sweet compassion and love already with Her cousin Elizabeth. Let us remember and praise this moment. Let us cherish every moment, recalling the Life of Jesus, Mary and St Joseph, with love for the first real family. "Our" family and all its kin.
