Loving Everyone

I was listening to the radio this morning, and it was mentioned that part of loving God is also loving others. And that struck me. It’s so easy and natural to love God, but people, not so much.

I think there are many reasons for this, and things we’re not thinking about. People do things to hurt us, to make us angry, etc. They recognize and sometimes even point out our imperfections. God doesn’t. If a person doesn’t like us, they leave. God is always there. He never would abandon us. We’re taught to love others, and then as we grow up, we discover how hard that sometimes is. We’re also taught to love God, and that seems so easy.

I guess most of us don’t even consider that loving God means loving others. Everyone comes from Him, but loving people is so much harder than loving God. It’s just something to think about.
