God loves Atheist, Islam, Christians, Catholic, and Me

Children nowadays have frenzy over X-box, PSP, Wii, Game Boy, and what other digital game consoles?
I remember when I have volunteered for a Pediatric Camp during college days. It is called Pedya Kamp, handled by God’s Special children, Inc. Since 1991 they held camps in several provinces in the Philippines and abroad until 2010 (sadly). I got the chance to mingle with street kids, orphans, juvenile delinquents, Baler, Aurora locals children and adult, and children with special needs.
One of the most surprising things about it was to find out that there were diverse number of people who never hesitate to give their time, effort, and concern to those children, including College students, employed individuals, professionals, and rich kids and people. Then, PSP and Game Boy were already a trend for children, but those distinct fortunate kids decided to contribute their money for other children’s happiness and welfare. Some have these kinds of game consoles during the camp, and they lend it to some hapless kids.
The experience was so moving that I realized that I was the one touched by these fortunate and unique kids. Children that were united and not blinded about the earthly vices and temptations. Since then, my life changed and it helped me to see life differently.
When we learn how rich we can be, we will able to see how blessed we are. When we focus our richness to positive things, all things will follow.
Love begets love. Communication begets communication. Giving begets giving.
There are no material things that can produce true happiness, it is the deed that we are willing to give and share every day in our lives.
This Christmas may the spirit of the Lord work on us and come with the saying “It is better to give than to receive”.
May God bless us all with the wisdom rich with love and sharing; with the child-like faith that is never doubting and ceasing.
