God's Endless Love
Recently a person wrote a blog for Catholic365.com that indicated that there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church. Therefore only Catholics will get to Heaven. Oh my---why does it read in Revelations 7, vs 4 "And I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel." These 144,000 were sealed and saved, the faithful who served God BEFORE the birth of Jesus.
What about the apostles, the deciples, and all others ---known at followers of Jesus Christ and who were not even aware of the Mass, the doctrines, etc of our faith. Will we meet them in heaven if they were not Catholic?
The first use of the term "Catholic Church" (literally meaning "universal church") was by the church father Ignatius of Antioch (c. 50–140) in his Letter to the Smyrnaeans (circa 110 AD).
These followers of God's Words, lived together in a community lifestyle, sharing all! Living in Love and therefore GOD lived in them. No matter what faith people practice or church they go too ---if they hear the WORD of God, Obey His Commands, they are following Jesus. The most important command? Spoken by Jesus, -- in the New Testament, is to "love God with all your heart, soul, and mind. The second, and "like it," is to love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus stated that all the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.
LOVE our neighbor---meaning all no matter what church, what lifestyle---we must see all as children of God, created by God for a purpose and a reason--to be the gift they are--- WHO THEY ARE!
Are we loving them if we believe they are not saved and cannot enter Heaven if they are not a member of the Catholic Church? Oh dear then, we have become their judge haven't we?
A baby cannot help it if the baby is born in a different faith, a different culture, and the baby's parents teach another faith to the child. I am sure that the parents were living in love if they raised the child to follow rules, to do what is right and not wrong.
FIRST and foremost---all must KNOW THE WORD OF GOD and read from God's word daily so they can be LED on RIGHT PATHS for GOD's Sake. He loves us all and wants all to be saved and living in His Kingdom forever---This is why He sent His Son to die for us. God know's our hearts, our thoughts before they are on our lips, and HE LOVES US no matter what; for God understands all our live's story. I believe that is why there is a Purgatory--so eyes may be opened, ears will hear and hearts will finally understand and know true sorrow for all, repent and enter into His Kingdom.
WE are all His children, ALL! Only God, and God alone will say who enters into His Kingdom.
