9 Quick and Focused Reflective Questions on the Holy Trinity
A holiness window is an opportunity for a person to be holy in the present moment.
The opportunity for holiness occurs in an identifiable moment in human existence. A holiness window thus provides a person an opportunity to transform their own heart in the moment–and in doing so–transform the heart of the world.
We are all given holiness windows by God in every moment in every day. The opportunity to be holy is a grace which allows us to imitate God. By imitating God we become united to him.
Unity to God means growth for the person in perfection. Perfection is realized in union to the will of God. Thus, the measure for perfection is the union to the will of God.
Each person is unique. We all have our own personality, with accompanying desires and interests. We all are in the world in a specific situation, i.e., at a given moment in time and space. Each person is part of God's family in their own way.
God has a plan for his entire family that takes care of the needs and wants of each person.
God gives his grace in accordance with each person's personality, specific situation, and in a way that brings unity to the person and God and unity to God's family.
God has made each person in his image. Each person has a will and an intellect. Every present moment offers the person a chance to consciously choose to accept God’s grace and grow in holiness or to reject God’s grace and decrease in holiness.
By a person’s choices, he or she “wills”. In “willing”, he or she chooses to form their intellect, constructing a way to know reality.
God is the God of each present moment. When asked by Moses what he should tell the people God’s name is, God told Moses “I AM” (Exodus, Chapter 3: 14). He is the perfect I AM. He does not remember your past—your sins, your failings. He knows you as you exist in this present moment. As you are. As you want to be. As you could be. As you ought to be.
God is the beginning and the end of every present moment. He is the First Cause and Final Effect—the Alpha and Omega. The person enters into an encounter with God in the present moment with the potential to be transformed through cooperation with grace. He is thus the God “who is and who was and who is to come” (Revelation, Chapter 1: 8).
God desires a personal relationship with you. Do not let lies or misunderstandings get in the way of your relationship. God desires to love and be loved by you.
God is all-loving, all-powerful, and all-present! There is no reason to be afraid! There is no person or power to fear! There is no reason not to love, have faith in, and hope in God! There is no reason not to trust! As Saint Michael the Archangel proclaimed: “Who is like God?”.
Trust and know! Trust and know God’s truth, goodness, and beauty! Trust and know the extent to which God loves you!
Without God there is no peace, harmony, security, tranquility, and liberty. As Saint Augustine wrote: Our hearts are restless till they rest in you O Lord (The Confessions of Saint Augustine: Book 1; Chapter 1; Pg. 43).
Ask God for mercy; he will show you mercy. Unite to God your joys, hopes, and dreams; any sorrows, anxieties, and fears. Find your peace, harmony, security, tranquility, and liberty. Turn to him and he will welcome you home.
The path is clear. The work is easy. The burden is light.
Now is an acceptable time! Don’t miss a moment! Seize the holiness window!
