The Ladder
There is such power in the Name of Jesus. None that comes from us but in our Lord's Power. His Name is Power. Power to defeat demons, power to protect us, power to save our souls from the evils of this world. We are scattered sheep searching for relief, searching for answers, searching for God. But in the reliance of the Holy name of Jesus, all these things become sated. We are no longer searching, no longer troubled, no longer thirsting for relief. All in the Name of Jesus. We must open our hearts and minds to the one who saved us, to the one we call Father. In spiritual battles, this is necessary. Sometimes we can feel overwhelmed from the stress of this world and retire our minds with needless worry. This is a Spiritual battle. Relying on just ourselves to see us through is fruitless and our insecurity will give us no relief. It is only in Jesus and His Holy Name that we must rely and have faith in His retrieval of our woes and this is the only thing we can truly rely on. Yes! Faith is a gift. One that should be nurtured and built on prayer daily. Our strong wills make us think we don't need help, but that is quite the opposite. The more we decrease, the more He increases. I find that a great struggle of mine when I find myself in situations where I must walk confidently, but seem to have concrete shoes on. With every step becoming harder to place one foot in front of the other. Only to find myself at the mercy of the Name of Jesus. Where relief comes quickly. Steadfast in the unwavering confidence that our Lord is standing right beside me. Ready and long waiting for me to finally arrive to this point.
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! You are my refuge! My Rock on which I stand! Never leave me. Never allow me to leave you. Guard me as one of your sheep and raise me to your shoulders. Carry me through this wilderness to the fertile Garden that awaits all who love You. In Jesus Christ's name I pray.
