GOD’S PLAN OF LOVING GOODNESS
God’s plan of loving goodness has a desired outcome for the human person. God uses a strategy involved in achieving this desired outcome in his plan of loving goodness.
The Desired Outcome
The desired outcome in God’s plan of loving goodness for the human person is unity to God.
God has made the human person in his image and destined the human person to be in his likeness.
God comes to the human person to make unity to God and life possible.
The Strategy
The strategy God uses in his plan of loving goodness is to call the human person to be like God through the use of reason.
Reason is only possible when the human person freely chooses in their will do good through love and moves their intellect to acknowledge truth and be truth.
By using reason, the human person reflects God’s being. When a human person is reflecting God’s being, he or she is as God is.
CONCLUSION
God calls the human person to unity to God. When the human person is united to God, he or she is existing as God exists and thus acting as a rational being and possessing life.
When a person hangs-up on this call, he or she forfeits unity to God and thus rationality and the gift of life.
Each decision a person makes can move the person into being more like God and thus fulfilling God’s plan of loving goodness for their life.
