If He Comes Now....

A recent Gospel reminds us that we don't know when Christ is going to return to this world. Only He has the answer to that. Like anything, we need to be ready at anytime for His coming. Are we though?

If He were to come now, have we forgiven everyone we need to forgive? Are we at peace with everyone? If He comes now, have we been to confess our sins? If He comes now, are our hearts ready for Him? If He comes now, are we in good standing with Him and strong in our faith?

Our world today is sure a mess. There are so many turning away from Him. Churches seem emptier and emptier. There is more hatred, wars, murder, hatred, arguing, and negativity than I remember. People are afraid of raising children in today's society. So no, I doubt we are ready for Him to return, not with the world a mess. But it's something to consider, and think about, because we should be ready for Him.
