Prominent Places, Humility, and the Chastisement, Science and Faith
Liberal Christianity is basically a hyper-corporal-works-of-mercy religion which gleefully desires to feed the poor as a universal all-are -welcome community. As a form of Christianity, it still has some semblance of the other world since it hopes that those who are rescued from physical suffering will eventually also be in heaven, the ultimate happiness.
The daughter of liberal Christianity is communism. However, this communism flip flops the emotion. This means that whereas it seeks to eradicate poverty and physical suffering, like it's mother, it nevertheless does not do so with glee and some sense of the supernatural, but rather, quote on quote , sells God and destroys the other world in exchange for a terrible, hard-hearted oppression of the people in the name of so-called solving of physical suffering and the self-same poverty. Hence, again, there is a veritable inversion in the emotion between the mother and her child.
The counterpart form of Christianity that comes with its own errors is of course the pharisaical one, or , as it were, the hyper-spiritual-works-of-mercy Christianity.
Here, rather than gleefully seeking to solve the essence of physical suffering in the world, the heretics of the pharisaical mode are persistently trying to solve the spiritual mysteries of doctrine and morals, and rather than having stability of the corporal works of mercy, which really don't have much complexity, these utterly confounded heretics are unbelievably confusing their doctrines because they have rejected the church, who alone can give the stable and infallible understanding of the scriptures.
As a consequence, these heretics are within an ocean of doctrine , constantly being tossed to and fro by every different idea. And unlike the hyper-corporal-works-of-mercy Christians, they are not gleeful but hard-hearted, telling all the other factions who don't agree with them that they will burn in hell unless they join their specific community. This creates an environment of spiritual fear and torture for innocent souls who do not know where to turn without the church.
But in a similar inversion of emotion, this pharisaical mother gives birth to her own daughter who is not hard-hearted but gleeful, which of course, is relativism. Relativism is the world's reaction to the cruel and sinister doctrinal terrorism, as it were, and it maintains the confusion (since there is no solution without the Catholic Church), but rather than stay in the incomprehensible spiritual fright, it simply chooses to insanely validate the plethora of differing opinions , so that each person is considered to be right relative to their own views , even though they all mutually conflict at infinity. They then celebrate the unfathomable diversity and disembowel the whole world from any moral responsibility to find the truth, making every person their own God. And this daughter is, again, relativism!
In conclusion, when we look at the two great dimensions of heretical Christianity, we've seen that they are at two different poles, or extremes. The first extreme is the corporal extreme, which places almost all of its emphasis on this world and happiness in this world by eliminating suffering and poverty. The other dimension is predictably the spiritual extreme, which places almost all of its emphasis on the other world, by seeking to solve the mysteries of truth and what is right and wrong, or morals.
We have seen that the first extreme is gleeful and community-oriented because it has a simple goal that does not result in confounding of things. The other extreme is rather hard-hearted and fearful because it does not have a community sense because of its confusion and mutually conflicting oppositions. This is also because in its nature, it is the rule of that if you don't belong to the truly specific community that gets everything right, you will lose salvation in horror forever.
And yet, we have seen that when we take these nevertheless supernaturally-inclined forms of Christian heresy, and remove the very otherworldly and salvifically-oriented disposition, the resulting secular counterfeit diabolically reverses the emotional disposition of the other-worldly heretical religion.
Hence, whereas the corporal form of heresy is gleeful, the secular diabolical counterfeit of communism is horribly hard-hearted and oppressive, and, similarly, whereas the spiritual form of heresy is hard-hearted and fearful, the secular diabolical counterfeit of relativism is gleeful and celebratory, attempting to insanely unite the world into a community of chaos, where the ocean of conflicting opinions is ignored in favor of a vague soft-hearted and weak-minded unity of human beings.
This shows how tricky the devil is in twisting things to appeal to the fallen mind of mankind, to make things that are diabolical appear to be good, so as to, in the end , lead us to perdition!
