Rule for Frequent Confession: Part 1

In a world full of worldly values, we tend to get wrapped up in wanting things here and now, when we want it. We are always looking for some new way to fix things and hope that it will get us back on our feet. However, we might just miss the most obvious way of fixing ourselves: trusting in God completely.
Looking back on the concept of complete trust in Him, it may seem like that is something we have overlooked. Something we haven’t considered lately. Maybe, it’s something we have known all along. Whatever the case is, we can always look to our Lord for the ultimate words of wisdom.
Proverbs 3:5-6 is a very beautiful and simple way of instruction on how we should trust completely in God, saying:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, on your own intelligence do not rely;
In all your ways be mindful of him, and he will make straight your paths.” (NABRE)
The Catechism of the Catholic Church also has insight into trusting God completely, but one sentence echoes to me in this context:
“Faith in God leads us to turn to him alone as our first origin and our ultimate goal, and neither to prefer anything to him nor to substitute anything for him.” (CCC 229)
So, in finding your way of trusting God with your entirety, remember that He will always be there for you. He is there to listen when you need someone to talk to. Trust in Him, for He loves you more than you know.
