Who or What Do You Worship?

In our world today, it seems like God has been someone who we call on when something goes wrong. And the rest of the time He is forgotten. People find other people and things to worship instead.

Some worship their money; they can never have enough. They want more and more, and for what? They want the best things, the most expensive, the best looking.

Some worship professional athletes, stars, or their own version of a hero. They look up to them and admire them so much they become a God.

Some worship themselves, yes that is what our world has become. Some people think they are all that matters, that they are the only person in this world, and that they run it. They want to rule the world and everything in it, and be in control.

But are any of those things God? Do any of those other things really increase our faith? Do any of those other things really answer our prayers? Do the other things people are worshiping really help?

Me, I don’t see any point in worshiping those things. God is just too important in my life. He is not a material thing. He is good. He is loving. He answers prayers. He is who and what I want to worship. He is first in my life; not other God’s. And I am proud to worship Him.
