Are your children at two years of age using Tablets?
The electronic industry in conjunction with education experts have produced learning tablets for children 1 to 3 and older toddlers from 2 + and above. In this age of technology there is probably no limit on the future educational help that will be produced and the assistance they will give to the new generations coming up. There is no doubt these children who used to play with trucks and dolls are now running circles around us who taught them to play with toys. Now, the toys have electronic chips and many parts we may not even be able to pronounce.
Could this become a new era like the industrial revolution that replaced a lot of manual labor with machines that did the work of many laboring men and women? The influx of brain challenging technology has placed before us a new idea of solving problems that it took much more that many of us dreaded tackling.
Face it, the period of AI has arrived and we who try to protect our children may be faced with the thought of managing what these children will see on the internet as they mature. Before they reach the temptation to explore the web we must remember that anything starting with A to Z can be found on the web and much of it lies in the realm of immorality..
There may be some who would promote censorship to protect the young or vulnerable citizens. But, that was also done in Germany and other nations who censored the bible and other religious material they considered foreign to the Third Reich. So they collected and burned these books of God and the Church.
Censorship never worked since it destroys the good with the bad. Remember the parable of the weeds among the wheat. The farmers' slaves asked if they should pull up the weeds. The master said, “no, if you pull up the weeds you might also pull up the wheat as well.” “Let them grow together until harvest time when I will tell them to bundle the crops together then burn the weeds.” (Mt 13: 28 - 30).
The best advice is for parents and/or guardians to teach their children about the sin and evils that exist and work to avoid things, places, and people who represent the evil of this world. That is also the dictate of holy people and saints as well. You cannot stop evil, but you can learn to identify it and avoid it at all costs to preserve your faith.
Learn from the example of Jesus as Satan tempted him three times. Temptations are not sin. Falling into their grasp needs the Holy Spirit of God to guide you and your children to the grace that comes through your faith and therefore will exist in safety through the grace of Christ.
