May Is For Mary

We are getting ready to celebrate Independence Day, and our freedom. We live in a free country. But what does that really mean?
Freedom means having the ability to do what we want. Even though we are free, and live in a free country we should still be thinking before we speak and act.
Being free does not give us the excuse to hate, to murder, to hurt others, to judge people, to say what we want, to forget what is important in our lives, to destroy the Earth, to make bad choices, and to not do what Jesus would do. We still need to be aware of God. We still need to love others, to choose good instead of bad, to have faith, to accept others as our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, to take good care of this planet. We don’t need to yell and scream at others, or bring them down simply because we are free. We are here to serve and love God. And we still will stand before Him when He calls us home.
Being free and having freedom does not mean that God just goes away, or is out of our lives. He is always with us. And He gave us a free will to make the best choices that we can. Enjoy your freedom, but don’t take it the wrong way. And thank God that we live in this land of the free.
