A Letter to New York: Where Are You Going?
In a narrow 51-49 decision from the US Senate, Kash Patel will now head the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This comes as Patel returns to the Trump administration, where he previously served in investigating election integrity towards the end of Trump’s first term. He called his confirmation as the new director of the FBI, an honor to lead the agency, and said change is coming.
“The American people deserve an FBI that is transparent, accountable, and committed to justice. The politicalization of our justice system has eroded public trust—but that ends today,” he wrote.
“My mission as Director is clear: let good cops be cops—and rebuild trust in the FBI.”
His appointment and narrow confirmation come at a time that the department under Biden’s administration was weaponized to go after political opponents, such as how the FBI targeted Catholics, went after peaceful pro-lifers, and even raided Trump’s mansion in Mar-a-Lago, FL.
Yet, this same department has never gone after violent radicals targeting pro-life pregnancies, Senator Chuck Schumer, who put a target on the Supreme Court justices back in the weeks leading up to the Dobbs decision, and even violent demonstrators after the death of George Floyd, to name a few.
“His career has been a commitment to championing unpopular yet just causes, revealing corruption and prioritizing America," Senator Chuck Grassley remarked.
Patel is also the author of a bestselling book, Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth, and the Battle for Our Democracy. Based on his firsthand experience, he pulls back the curtain on the Deep State, revealing the major players and tactics within the permanent government bureaucracy, which has spent decades stripping power away from the American people and their elected leaders. A new sheriff is in town, America. Justice is coming. Let’s pray for Kash Patel to uphold the law, protect law-abiding citizens, and bring terrorists foreign and domestic to justice.
