The Wisdom of Solomon

Wise was he

One of the great kings would he be

King Solomon the son of David

King Solomon whose wisdom was solid

From all places people came to witness

This king his stores his stables his palace

Queen Sheba was one who heard of his fame

And so with her entourage she came

So impressed she paid him with great wealth

For she had firsthand witnessed his work and wisdom her self

His wisdom a gift from God was all king Solomon had asked

To use it to build and to rule was he tasked

Eventually he would lose all to temptation

Yes by women sent to him by the evil-one Satan

Wisdom is available for all of to have and use

We must pray and ask to use it for good and never to abuse

Amen
