Suffering and Hope

This week has a lot of people asking why. Why are there no answers? Why does so much hate and evil exist in our world? Why did so many innocent people lose their lives? Why do people need to be so afraid of raising children today? Why God?
No matter how many times people have been asking themselves why and asking God why, there are still no answers. We still can't wrap our heads around tragedy, around death, around hate. We still don't understand why God would let this happen.
There are good reasons though to also ask why. Why does it take a tragedy to bring people together? Why does it take something horrible for people to start giving and doing other good things? Why can't happen all the time? The answer is, it should. We always need God, we always need each other. We always need to do good. It's a shame however that it takes a tragedy to bring us back, to find God, and to be the human that God designed us to be.
