With Water and Spirit

John baptized with hope and water

He was the cousin of the forerunner

John prophesied about Jesus

He the One sent to save us

For Jesus baptized with Spirit and water

His only desire to do the Will of His Father

Upon this His Baptismal day

Did those at the river hear God say

After the descending of a dove

A symbol of peace hope and love

You are My Beloved Son with You I am well pleased

And He both human and divine was baptized

We too receive at our baptism moment

The gift of the Holy Spirit

And a remission of any sin

For we have been born again
