All Hallow's Eve or "Soulcake"
Many children look forward
to this night every year
To obtain candy and treats
This night filled with fear
Knock on the neighbor's door
Yell, "A penny for a soulcake."
"What's a soulcake?" Asks the Mama.
"It's a cake we pray and then we bake!"
"Pray for who?" asks the Mama.
"We pray for all souls gone before us."
"The souls that have died and now wonder around...
This evening on the school bus!"
Soulcake, Soulcake!
Yum, Yum, what a treat!
This is no trick!
It is a tasty treat!
A soulcake is made like a donut dough
with a filled cream center
and tastes so wonderful goodness
And it is a wonder so splender!
