Where I live got hit by Helene. By the time it got here, they said it was a tropical storm. The buildings with their walls torn off, the destroyed forests of pine trees and the 14 dead say otherwise. This was no mere storm. This was a disaster.
Almost no working traffic lights, and sadly, no cops directing traffic. Children are amongst the dead,
There's flooding, amongst other things, and we have no electricity, We don't know when we'll have it again.
We've been told we can't go out after 7:30 pm.
But I'm alive, and thank God,
May those that didn't make it, rest in peace.
