All Is In Vain

All Is In Vain

Vanity is why Herod complained

Didn’t I already cut off his head

His mistake believing that Jesus was John which caused him pain

The fox was outfoxed because he was vain

All will run into the same situation

If we do not heed our Lord’s Word or even listen

As Qoheleth states in Ecclesiastes

All things on this earth are vanities

Except the messages from our Savior

We must be unlike Herod and simply surrender

Our wills and egos and all that we trust

To Him our Lord yes this we must

Amen
