On December 16, 1997, Pope John Paul II received the new United States of America Ambassador to the Holy See, H.E. Mrs. Corrine (Lindy) Claiborne Boggs. During that meeting, John Paul II spoke about the importance the United States of America plays not only to its citizens but to the entire world. Since 2012, I have been writing on my website/blog – TomPerna.org. I am a Catholic lay evangelist who writes, creates social media content, and leads/teaches OCIA classes. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three sons.
I have a Master’s in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville. I also hold a Master’s in Education from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of San Francisco. While attending USF, I studied the Great Books of Western Civilization and, upon graduation, received a Great Books Certificate from the St. Ignatius Institute.
