The Rebellion

Welcome to the Rebellion!
As Believers we are constantly faced with the task of rebelling against a fallen world. You see everyday is a constant rebellion, a constant fight, a constant struggle against the forces of darkness. Where society teaches us to be greedy, our Church teaches us to be charitable; Where society teaches us to be prideful, our Church teaches us to be humble; and where society teaches us to live for money, our Church teaches us to live for God!
It is more blessed to give than to recieve
Acts 20:35 In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
On being humble.
1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
Living for God, Not Money!
Hebrews 13:5
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Now from these three examples listed above we begin to see a message that stands in direct oppistion to what our current culture has led us to believe. So why is the message of the Church so diffrent from the message of our destructive culture? Because the message of the Church stands on divine principle!

2 Peter 1:4
By which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.
Isnt that beautiful? Look around you! Sinful Desire is the root of spiritual corruption. When we begin to feed into lustful and material desires we submit ourselves not to God, but to the ways of Devil.
It isnt hard to see that we live amongst a world that mocks purity and it isnt hard to see that the forces of Darkness seek to corrupt all that which is good. This is why the Church Body must continue to serve as the Rebellion. This is why we must continue to proclaim the word of the Lord.
