The Most Important Relationship {Day 23}

Wow! I loved today’s reading.
It really goes right to the heart of the matter. One that each of us has to come to terms with on our own.
Oh sure we can debate it, defend it or refuse to look at it, but will all have to deal with it.
It is a deeply personal question, personal because in the end it will determine the quality of our eternal life. Yes I said eternal life, why because I think it’s about time we acknowledge the reality of eternal life.
Sure we pretend that we ‘know’ there is eternal life but if that were true would we have shows like Ghost Hunters’ or the The Haunting or the need for mediums?
Every time we watch them it’s like, wow do you think that’s true? It casts doubt on the quality of eternal life and that casts doubt on OUR reality of eternal life. Satan’s good isn’t he? He knows the truth, came from the truth, rejected the truth and now wants you and me to reject it too.
Scripture tells us that we will either be with our Father in Heaven or we will be cast into Gehenna, where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
That’s why today’s reading is so important because it is one we will either answer in this life or will have to answer it in the next, when perhaps it may just be too late.
Why would we not want to answer the questions of Mt 16: 13-20? It is how we answer these questions that determine what our life will look like here and in eternity.
