Cherish Life

I've been reading the book, "For The Love, Fighting For Grace In A World of Impossible Standards". Of course, it has made me think about the way that I love, and the way that others love. And why wouldn't that be important? St. Paul tells us that if we don't have love, we are nothing.
I found out this week that some of the hardest things require the most love. I have an awesome and beautiful Spiritual Mentor in my life. I trust her more than most and love her no matter what. She has shown me things about one of the greatest gifts I could ever receive, the gift of God's love. This week she did something hard. She didn't really want to do it, and it took some convincing, but it was out of love that she poured her heart into this very special thing she did for me. It was sweet, but also incredibly difficult. It was done for the love.
That is one example. In my opinion, everything we do should be for the love. That is what God put us here for, to love others, to love Him, and to figure out what this love stuff is all about. It's not easy. Love is hard, and it often requires sacrifice. But figuring it all out, spreading God's love, and taking time to really love others is wonderful.
I'm grateful for love. I'm grateful for what I've been shown about love, and I'm grateful that we have a God who loves all of us. I'm grateful for what is done for the love.
