Recently I watched a YouTube video on the Pearls of Catholicism and how that makes the Catholic Church unique by Jesse Romero. Actually, I've watched this video several times already as I can't get enough of the great material that Mr. Romero constantly puts out. Here's most of the Pearls of Catholicism that Mr. Romero reviews in his video, and some facts that I thought were interesting. I hope you enjoy!
A list of the "Pearls of Catholicism"
* The Catholic Church is the only Church/Faith founded by Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (When people live in a state of grace, the Church has gone on to do wonderful things in the world).
* The Catholic Church started the university/college system. (Started in Italy, and spread throughout Europe, and eventually, the world).
* The Catholic Church gave us the discipline of Science.
* The Catholic Church started Hospitals after 314 AD. (Many people could only see doctors if they were rich, and doctors only made home visits. St. Fabiola was a major contributor to building the first hospital(s). Hospital is a Latin word for "guest house.")
* The Catholic Church is compassionate towards those who have same sex attraction. (Muslims will throw you off a roof with your hands tied, or behead you).
* The Catholic Church treats 25% of all AIDS patients FOR FREE at Catholics Hospices.
* The Catholic Church started Orphanages. (Roman and Greeks would throw "undesirable" children (particularly males) in the trash! Catholics would get them from the trash and raise them themselves. Orphanages started to become institutionalized after Constatine the Great liberalized Christianity in the Roman Empire.
* The Devil fears the Catholic Church because it is the One, True Church, and The Bride of Christ. (The Church's teachings and authorities are perfect because they come from Jesus Christ. Satanists and Witches don't fear Islam (fake religion), Protestants (no power), and Judiasm (it's obsolete). The Devil has an expiration date, Jesus doesn't.
* There's no religion more Pro Life than the Catholic Church. (The highest ranking leader of Satanists in America said that to take away Abortion from them would be equal to the government taking away the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for us).
* Practicing Catholics have the lowest suicide rate in the country. (Jehovah Witnesses and Mormons have the highest. We Catholics, have an advantage because we have the Sacrament of Reconciliation).
* Catholics developed the idea of "Free Market Economics." ( This is my input, but in the future, don't use the term "Capitalism." That's a communist term to describe and downgrade Free Market Economics).
* Western Law came out of Catholic Church Law. (All the legalese is borrowed from Catholic, Canon Law. Latin is used by both the legal and medical communities).
* Practicing Catholics have the lowest rate of divorce in the entire country. (Less than 4.2%. Most spouses who pray together, is a key to keeping the divorce rate down).
* The Catholic Church controlled the majority of Music up until about 100 years ago. (For about 1,900 years, the Church controlled it. Now it's almost entirely secular).
* Catholics were the first to abolish slavery. (Saint Patrick wrote that "A Catholic cannot own a slave", and yes, EVERYONE practiced slavery).
* It was Saint Augustine of Hippo who wrote the "Just War Doctrine" which gave a template on how to behave during war. (Has been accepted by every country of the world, but fifty-one of them. All of them controlled by Islam).
* The 800 year old tradition of gladiator fighting in the Coliseum in Rome was ended because of the courage of a brave Catholic priest willing confront the Emperor, and eventually to die, for the Holy Name of Jesus.
