There is a popular diet out right now with an expensive pill to help you lose weight, called Golo. After researching it. I find that we don’t need to spend the money, unless, you want to. All we need to do is to count our blessings and our calories too! As we age, it’s very hard to lose weight as our metabolism slows down. So if you find yourself, not losing and still gaining weight, here’s the problem.
There is such a thing called carboholic Addiction. When we are down, discouraged, distressed, emotionally upset we want to eat something sweet. We may want to drink that soda. Or nibble on something crunchy. All of which is unhealthy and no good for you. (Unless that crunchy is some sort of raw vegetable or fruit.) Remember the saying an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Well, that’s the truth yet.
Life right now is creating in our life, many negative emotions. Our bodies are dealing with added stress from these negative emotions. I know the past year, I put on 10 pounds from dealing with husband's health issues and mine too. Then, here comes guilt to aggravate these emotions, as I know that I am not serving the Lord this way, or obeying what He tells me to do.
Obesity and being overweight is unhealthy and as much as an addiction type problem as alcoholism, drug abuse and smoking whatever. It’s another form of a god in our life. So, as each day goes by, it is crucial that we choose wisely what we eat!! Let us choose wisely what God we will serve, as we choose to live! Other wise, we die slowly by our eating too many calories every day. All we need is 1000 calories a day! We were told it is a mortal sin to kill. So why are we slowly killing ourselves? It will help to FAST between hunger!!
Daily, come to the table of the Lord. Read Scripture for a souce of 'food'. Draw away from distractions as you eat. Eat small amounts--don't over stretch the stomach. Eat slow, eat small bites and savor the taste. Be thankful you have food, and count your blessings that you can still chew, taste, and enjoy these gifts from God. Also, notice how many carbs are in the food for carbs are the same as sugar. We eat carbs or sweets, we will want to eat again sooner than we should. Sugar in our system goes up, our body's ways takes it down and when glucose count is low, our reaction: "Oh, I need something sweet to eat, so I feel GOOD again!"
Lord help us please to be wise, choose wisely and live our live for You! Seeking Your Bread, may we always choose this day, You oh God. the God we will serve!!!
Ya hear me now ole people--come follow Me in My footsteps and avoid those 'all you can eat restuarants!'

This was my “Pentecostal” event that left me, like all the early Christians, on fire with God’s love and forever changed.
My husband Robert and I have been married for 54 this year in a marriage arranged by God. We have 8 children, two in heaven, 24 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. The story of our life together can be found in a book titled “My Journey, My Cross-As the Journals End,” published by Westbow Press . Our life together has been one awesome up and down roller coaster ride which enriched my heart with so many of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I have found that the only way, Wisdom, Understanding, Words of Knowledge, Discernment, and Healing can be received is first by experiencing in your life the hurts of others. (and you yourself a sword will pierce)* so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.” Luke 2 v 35.
God has blessed me also many other talents and skills--but sometimes, blessings/gifts can and have caused problems or conflict in my life, as I am human and all too quickly that part of me shows up. Thank You God that You also show up!
