Walking With The Saints – Part 2

Standing up for the unborn
Abortion is mostly a tabbo subject for many a reasons. Most people don’t want to get involved or caught up in the debate. It is something that a women must deal with since the pro-choice message is it is her choice. Women are afraid of being condemned for their choices. Most women, after an abortion, experience unsettling guilt and remorse, something that isn’t easy to admit to feeling. Or the circumstances surrounding the conception or pregnancy is too shameful to openly talk about.
Nevertheless, it is not a subject that is often brought up at the dinner table.
Most people who do bring up the subject of abortion are on a personal mission of their own.
A personal mission to set the truth straight and to make sure all women are provided with the correct facts regarding abortion.
Abortion is something I will never stand silent on. I will always be ready to fight for the lives or the unborn as well as the lives of their mothers. Both who have fallen victim to the lies and propaganda of this “Feminism” that promised women rights and freedom, but instead have turned them into slaves of the sexual revolution.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states ;
2270 Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception. From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person - among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life.72
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you.73
My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately wrought in the depths of the earth.74
2271 Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law:
You shall not kill the embryo by abortion and shall not cause the newborn to perish.75
God, the Lord of life, has entrusted to men the noble mission of safeguarding life, and men must carry it out in a manner worthy of themselves. Life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception: abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes.76
Therefore, under no circumstance, we as Catholics must not accept or support abortion in any way, to do so would be a grave sin against God and would bring upon grave consequences for our souls.
over the last 8 months the word abortion has been heard a lot more, especially associated to Planned Parenthood. Undercover videos were leaked to the public showing staff from Planned Parenthood talking about the illegal selling of organs from aborted babies. Many people are finally showing their uproar and disgust towards this industry that it so rightly deserves. There have been reports of babies still alive and breathing as they begin to remove organs including the brain and heart. There have been confirmation that the procedure, partial birth abortions, which are illegal, have been performed to save certain organs that have been ordered for purchase.
Planned Parenthood is also known for covering up rape, encouraging teens to experiment with all types of sexual behaviours, killing babies that survived botched abortions, as well as putting the mother’s life at risk, and most recently stating that a person who has HIV has the right not to inform their sexual partner.
Ironically, Planned Parenthood does not recognize the unborn as a human child, yet finds the need to provide organs taken from the aborted babies for research medical companies.
Abortion isn’t as clear-cut as the abortion industry or the pro-choice movement would like to have us believe.
Abort73.com states that:
In 2011, approximately 1.06 million abortions took place in the U.S. Twenty-one percent of all U.S. pregnancies (excluding miscarriages) end in abortion. (AGI).
In 2012, unmarried women accounted for 85.3% of all abortions (CDC) and adolescents under 15 years obtained .04% of all abortions, but had the highest abortion ratio: 817 abortions for every 1,000 live births (CDC).
Black women were 3.6 times more likely to have an abortion in 2012 than non-Hispanic white women (CDC).
37% of women obtaining abortions identify themselves as Protestant, and 28% identify themselves as Catholic (AGI).
On average, women give at least 3 reasons for choosing abortion: 3/4 say that having a baby would interfere with work, school or other responsibilities; about 3/4 say they cannot afford a child; and 1/2 say they do not want to be a single parent, or are having problems with their husband or partner (AGI).
Only 12% of women included a physical problem with their health among reasons for having an abortion (NAF).
One per cent (of aborting women) reported that they were the survivors of rape (NAF).
Induced abortions usually result from unintended pregnancies, which often occur despite the use of contraception (CDC). 51% of women having abortions used a contraceptive method during the month they became pregnant. (AGI).
8% of women having abortions have never used a method of birth control (AGI).
9 in 10 women at risk of unintended pregnancy are using a contraceptive method (AGI).
Oral contraceptives, the most widely used reversible method of contraception, carry failure rates of 6 to 8% in actual practice (NAF).
Women who have an abortion are at a high risk for depression, anxiety, PTSD and other mental health problems. They are also at a higher risk of becoming sucidial than the rest of the population. Health problems like Breast cancer, has been associated to abortion.
They are also at risk of having complications in future pregnancies and birth.
In fact, having an abortion is more dangerous than giving birth i.e. having a baby.
Are we so desperate to avoid having children that we would not only kill them, but we would also put our own life and health at serious risks?
Slowly, abortion clinics that are being exposed for their dangerous and illegal practices are being shut down across the United States, and ex-employees from these clinics are stepping forward, exposing the truth about what really goes on inside.
Abby Johnson is well known for her passion on Pro Life and saving as many innocent lives as possible, as well as helping women who work there leave their current positions.
Abby use to work as a director for Planned Parenthood. She left after witnessing the many horrors that took place there.
“Abby Johnson has always had a fierce determination to help women in need. It was this desire that both led Abby to a career with Planned Parenthood, our nation’s largest abortion provider, and caused her to flee the organization and become an outspoken advocate for the pro-life movement. During her eight years with Planned Parenthood, Abby quickly rose in the organization’s ranks and became a clinic director. She was increasingly disturbed by what she witnessed. Abortion was a product Planned Parenthood was selling, not an unfortunate necessity that they fought to decrease. Still, Abby loved the women that entered her clinic and her fellow workers. Despite a growing unrest within her, she stayed on and strove to serve women in crisis.
All of that changed on September 26, 2009 when Abby was asked to assist with an ultrasound-guided abortion.
She watched in horror as a 13-week baby fought, and ultimately lost, its life at the hand of the abortionist.
At that moment, the full realization of what abortion was and what she had dedicated her life to washed over Abby and a dramatic transformation took place. Desperate and confused, Abby sought help from a local pro-life group. She swore that she would begin to advocate for life in the womb and expose abortion for what it truly is.”
