Gifts

Everyone has gifts given by God. What is your gift? Is it prayer? Is it words? Is it art? How are you using those gifts to better the world? Are you even aware of what gifts God has given you? I realize that for some, it may take a lifetime to find out what their gifts are. For some, it's obvious sooner. But what can we give each other? What can we give back to God to thank Him for what He has given to us? Can we give time, money, word?

What unique or special gifts do we have to give to the world? Some have a gift of being compassionate. Some have the ability to give financially to those who need it most. Some are able to offer one of the best gifts, the gift of prayer. Some are able to give the gift of music, art, or words. Whatever our gift, whatever God has given to us to give to others, be aware of them. Use them. Give them to others. Don’t forget about them.

We are all needed in this world, and all of our gifts are what add to this world. Some gifts are simple, and don’t even require much effort. People often give me gifts by praying me through a hard time, or offering sweet words. Those are simple. They don’t require much. But they mean a lot. Other gifts require much more, but it’s up to us to discover what gifts God has given to us, and up to us to discover how to use them to better benefit this world.
