It's so easy to fall into the trap this time of year. We get busy, we try to savor every moment of the Christmas season. We are buying, eating, baking, going to various events, trying to stick to traditions that are dear to us, and somehow, we manage to forget what this season is about. Christ gets left out, and forgotten about. It's easy to do and we've all done it. But it's not right either.
At the end our busy days, we need to take time out and realize the sacredness of this season, as well as the significance of the birth of Christ into our hearts at Christmas. Without Christ, there would be no Christmas. If we see someone who could use our compassion and kindness duing this season of giving, we should give as He gave, and not be too busy for that. We need to pray still, we need to reflect, we need to urge others to share the Christmas spirit, we need to remember what matters during this holy season and what doesn't.
This is a holy season, a loving season, a forgivng season, a uniting season, not one of hate, violence, and falling into the trap of forgetting all that matters. Me, I try to take time to read devotionals, have special music on, and offer kindess when I can. I try not to get caught up in the busy, and not falll into that trap. I try to keep Christ in Christmas.
