Can we find any resemblance of God  in America today?

Well just look at our public schools, beginning way back in the 60’s where the Pledge of Allegiance was no longer allowed to be spoken.  When did anyone remember seeing the Ten Commandments in public buildings since the law of the land has turned aside from God’s rules that were meant for our own civil establishment.  

Of course these are two well established entities that many of us grew up with, adhered to their premise of a creator who loves us, and sought to do the right thing for each other.  It is no secret that something has crept into our American society indoctrinating our young people to believe in a non-believing system of government control in all we do.  

We, the people of the United States, were founded as a Christian Nation.  “Happy the nation whose God is the Lord, the people chosen as his very own,”  (Ps 33: 12).  “And if my people, upon whom my name has been pronounced, humble themselves and pray, and seek my presence and turn from their evil ways, I will hear them from heaven and pardon their sins and revive their land.”  (2 Chr 7: 14). 

Look at the preamble to the Declaration of Independence;  “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness,” The complete document is rather long, but this gives the reader an opportunity to dwell on the importance of our country’s beginning which should never be discounted or retracted in any manner.  We are the chosen people of the Declaration of Independence and the promoters through our government leaders to the Constitution of the United States of America,  This is our country, earned by the blood of many patriots who believe in God, recognize our Rights as citizens, and adhere to the grace of Almighty God and his constant belief in his sovereignty over us.  Let us pray that the enemies of the divine will be turned back to the reality of freedoms God has given to those who love and respect him.

As all of us continue in our search for God in a nation that has turned their back and minds away from our savior and all he has promised will lose the last semblance of what this loss will mean for us and our progeny.  As a  nation or even just a small part of our fight for establishment of freedom will become a relic that never was.  It is like a person who searched for a wealthy treasure and finally discovered that it was a bag with holes where everything placed inside deteriorated from non-use and slipped into oblivion.  That is what we shall be looking at which was once ours and now it will become fodder in their net of collected treasure.

Whatever appeared to be the residue of good work now turns out as a loss we may never recover from.  The evil our chosen leaders have promptly handed us is now the result of our failing to see the writing on the wall; Socialism allowed in our society and marked as Marxism.

The downfall of a Christian nation is on the horizon just like Rome that collapsed from within.
