God's Plan

During this month of November, not only do we take time out to think about what we are thankful for, we also remember the dead. We pray for them on All Souls Day. We go to visit graves. And we celebrate them on All Saints Day.
One way that brings them to mind is to walk through a cemetery. That shows us that each person is unique. It shows that God has a purpose for each one of us, and it gives us a chance to pray.
By walking through a cemetery, it's obvious that some are here for a long time while others are only here for a short time. Some grave stones reveal things about a person's life; what they did for a career, how long they were married, or another special fact.
What's important to remember is that everyone that has passed on was once someone's family member. Some people in a cemetery are forgotten. No one ever comes to see them, place flowers next to their grave or pray for them. Those are the ones who need prayers, they are the forgotten. I think about each person and pray for each person because they were all created by God, and regardless of who they were, loved one or stranger, they all deserve to be remembered.
