A Step Beyond Faith Part 3

Please read this all the way through. I really need to get this out. It really hurts when I see Christians arguing with each other. They tear down each other over this and that. Some so strongly that people who were on the path to God get so frustrated and confused because of religion they totally give up on God. If Christians can’t spread the love of Christ among each other, how can they effectively spread the love of Christ to the world?
Let me get into the scriptures for a little bit. What is the gospel of Jesus? Did he go about teaching doctrine? Or did he go showing love for everyone? He taught us that love for God should be the utmost thing in our hearts. That we must love everyone, treat everyone as we would want to be treated.
About not walking with Jesus by the doctrine you walk, here is this:
Read Mark chapter 9 verses 38 thru 41;
“John said to him, Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him, because he was not following us. But Jesus said, Do not stop him, for no one who does a mighty work in my name will be able soon afterward to speak evil of me. For the one who is not against us is for us. For truly I say to you, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ will by no means lose his reward.”
Do you think that the person John saw casting out demons could have actually cast out demons without the authority of Jesus? Christ himself tells John do not stop them. Jesus will work with each person that is willing to let him work in and thru them.
In the book of Numbers chapter 11 we read this;
“Then the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke to him, and took some of the Spirit that was upon him and put it on the seventy elders. And as soon as the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied. But they did not continue doing it. Now two men remained in the camp, one named Eldad, and the other named Medad, and the Spirit rested on them. They were among those registered, but they had not gone out to the tent, and so they prophesied in the camp. And a young man ran and told Moses, Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp And Joshua the son of Nun, the assistant of Moses from his youth, said, My lord Moses, stop them. But Moses said to him, Are you jealous for my sake? Would that all the Lords people were prophets, that the Lord would put his Spirit on them.”
The Spirit of God came to those that were with the assembly and even to those who were not with the assembly. Why? Because their names were registered. Gods choice who serves Him, not ours.
Our “job” so to speak, is to share the love of Jesus and to lead others to the cross, correct? Then lets all start doing that. Bring the love of Jesus to a world that needs that love. Then show them to the cross of Jesus. Then let Jesus take it from that point on.
Is it your belief because I don’t belong to the same denomination as you that I don’t have Christ in me? Who are you that you can see in my heart? Do you judge that which you can’t see? We need to start showing the love of Christ. Not fighting about doctrine. I’m catholic, you’re Baptist someone else is Pentecostal (and the list of Christian denominations goes on). You believe that Jesus is the only way to get to heaven. News flash!! So do I. You believe Jesus died on the cross so that our sins might be forgiven. Second news flash - So do I.
Let's start praying with one another and for one another. Pray that OUR God takes us in the direction He wants each of us to go. Not in the direction we feel the one should go. You should believe that Jesus is in control of everything if you trust in Him. Unite in our love for Jesus. Pray for a world that needs God back.
Lift each other in prayer and cause not the other to sin.
Mark chapter 9 verse 42;
“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown in the sea.”
Is that you? Do you talk down on people that are not in your assembly? Do the things you share or repeat possibly bring hate, confusion or despair to those that are not in your assembly? There is an old saying that goes like this” If you have nothing nice to say, then don’t say anything”
So do you want to be the one that causes someone to lose faith?
Spread the love of God to all. And instead of talking bad about someone not in your assembly, share love and pray that God has them on the path that HE has chosen for them. Our job in to love one another. Let God judge our hearts.
